Oguzhan Yolcu (TUR)

Oguzhan is assistant professor in Amasya University. His research interest is PE pedagogy and teacher education. His will talk about ”Using adventure education based parkour to foster creativity and physical literacy in children and youth.”

The presentation will describe a parkour unit of 16 lessons delivered to 9-10 year old children in physical education. There were numerous benefits of this movement exploration approach including the development of general and movement specific creativity through fun, cooperative and meaningful participation by all. Students reported the overcoming of fear coupled with the development of self-confidence and movement competencies.
