Change the Game is owned and operated by the Foundation for Physical literacy (Stiftelsen för rörelserikedom). Jonas Olsson founded the initiative in 2014, then as a corporate social relationship project within the framework of the property company Balticgruppen, and in 2021 he handed over both the business and funds to the Stiftelsen för Rörelserikedom, for long-term work to promote the development of physical literacy communities in Umeå, Sweden and the world.

Change the Game is a knowledge center that contributes to sustainable social development by creating and spreading knowledge about how to focus on the quality of movement experiences when developing places, programs and people.

The Foundation for Physical literacy, which runs Change the Game, is a non-profit foundation that together with other actors – such as regions, authorities, associations, the company, researchers and thought leaders – creates movement for movement. This is done through collaboration projects, advocacy and through Change the Game Utbildning AB, which through training, consultation and events ensures that knowledge is spread to more actors who are prepared to act based on the holistic view of the human being as physical literacy stands for.
